I totally love this new series. I have since bought the whole series so far and am waiting anxiously for the next volume. I hear there is also an anime based on this story line. I highly recommend it. It is very funny and totally wicked. The drawings are nice and you will love the two storylines. I couldn't put it down once I started to read it. You will totally love this one.

While there were many pages in this book that didn't resonate with me, the ones that did opened me up to amazing spiritual experiences. The way the author guides you into your meditation, leads you to a place where you can have your own individual connection to your higher self and explore what it has to teach you. A coworker of mine asked me the other day if I had read Jon Gordon's The Energy Bus: 10 Rules to Fuel Your Life, Work, and Team with Positive Energy. I had never heard of it. Turns out my local public library has the audio book, so on his recommendation, I decided to check it out.Gordon tells the story of a businessman whose career is on the ropes. His marriage is unhappy, and he has run out of fixes. His car is out of commission for a couple weeks, so he has to take the bus to work. The bus driver, Joy, recognizes his despair and, along with the other passengers, introduces him to their 10 rules.Gordon's main point is that we should have a positive attitude and convey that to the people around us. Managers set the tone for people who work under them, and should insist that no one stay "on the bus" if they won't buy into the positivity. As Gordon tells the story, the reluctant bus rider implements changes at his workplace with outstanding results.The Energy Bus is an overly simplistic business fable, just as you would expect from this sort of book. But the broad points are important and are presented clearly and effectively. Attitude is so important, and the tone set by a manager or director is inevitably passed to the team. I would give this book a 5 star review but (not trying to be negative just real), while the ideas are spot on, the story is pretty simple and corny. The message is really something life changing that I wish everyone could hear, but the story is so golly jee whiz that even I was rolling my eyes at times. And I'm Miss positive!

Admittedly, I'm a Maxwell fan, but it was great to have my teen read this as I read the adult version. I love the "journal it" concept within each chapter and wish those would show up in some of his other works. Very well outlined and the perfect lesson for many high schoolers as they face rejection for the first time through sports, arts, socially, or even college selections.

My daughter needed this book for school. She read this over the summer and told me many things about the book that impressed her.
