I've never rated a textbook before in my entire life. I'm renting this book right now and I must say I'm learning a lot of new information. The material definitely keeps me engaged and I am thinking about purchasing it.

Awesome book. I used it for my multicultural psychology class. Great book with much information about different cultures and diversities.

The twin concepts of understanding multiculturalism and understanding humans are dealt with here through clear examples and strong but digestible writing.

Book arrived in great shape

This textbook is a very readable format, physically and mentally. I love that it's small and can fit into a purse, and the pages are thin so it's not bulky. The concepts are broken down and accompanied by short personal accounts, kinda like a Humans of New York post. Just what I needed for my class.

Extremely informative and well written.

The textbook is good and the material is explained well. However, my NEW copy of the textbook is missing pages 109-140 and considering I bought this text for a college course, it makes it quite difficult to write a reflection paper on something I cannot read. That disappointments me for sure!

This book was needed for my class, and it is an easy read, easy to follow and pretty informative about the subject.

A nice little book. The title is misleading, though. Volume 1 is actual love letters. This has more poems than letters. Volume 1 is better, in my opinion.

Although the words are what's most important, this is absolutely overpriced. It resembles a Scooby Doo book I would buy for my kids from Scholastic school flyers. Not worth it. Copy and paste from a relationship blog instead.

Loved reading love letters from "days gone by". Writing is such a lost form, it's my personal way to help bring back the allure of hand written letters. I've enjoyed this greatly

I purchased this on the strength of the first volume alone, however, I am a bit disappointed in it. It's slim, has significantly fewer letters and poems, many of which I have seen in other volumes. While a decent companion if you have few other books such as this, I would opt for other choices if given the chance again.

Had to get this after seeing it on Sex and the City

Volume 1 had better letters than volume 2. I bought both but was disappointed because by watching the Movie Sex and the City and seeing the size of the book Carrie was reading, both of these volumes could have fit into the one book. I had expected more than what I got

About the Author

Stan and Jan Berenstain were both born in 1923 in Philadelphia.  They didn't know each other as children, but met later at school, at the Philadelphia College of Art.  They liked each other right away, and found out that the both enjoyed the same kinds of books, plays, music and art.  During World War II, Stan was a medical assistant in the Army, and Jan worked in an airplane factory.  When the war was over, they got married and began to work together as artists and writers, primarily drawing cartoons for popular magazines.  After having their two sons Leo and Michael, the Berenstains decided to write some funny children's books that their children and other children could read and enjoy.  Their first published children's book was called The Big Honey Hunt .  It was about a family of bears, who later became known as the "Berenstain Bears".  Over 50 children's books later, Stan and Jan still plan all of their books together -- both write the stories, and both write the pictures.  They live outside of Philadelphia in the country.

This book is awesome. It has just a few words on each page, easily understandable pictures, and is educational for toddlers without seeming to be so. This book puts the fun of the reading way ahead of the "being educational" without losing any learning value.

This was a favorite of my kids so I'm now getting it for my grandkids. The spine of this book is just cheap paper and it isn't going to last. As soon as the baby opens it up and sits on it, bites it, whatever it will be broken. And that's why we buy board books so they will hold up to rough play. Very disappointing. I looked at them in a store and they were this way too. I don't think a better binding is available in the board books.I give the story 5 stars and the binding 1.

I'm a big fan of the Bright & Early Board Books. This series takes familiar childhood favorites and miniaturizes it to a version that is friendly to toddlers in both physical size and content. This book goes over prepositions. The artwork is clean and simple but still delightful.This book is great for any toddler/infant library and given the size, it's great for on-the-go.

Such a cute book. I bought this to replace the original ripped apart (well loved) book. I didn't realize it was a board book (I didn't pay attention, it was my fault) but I love it just the same. My youngest adores the book.

Nice, short book with few words. Basically all of the words are locations (inside, on, outside, upside down, rightside up), so it's pretty fast-paced for a little one who doesn't understand those concepts yet. Good tool to learn though?
