I love this book. The pictures are beautiful and the fact that you can download the pdf's is fabulous. The only problem I had with this book is that the paper could be better, but all in all it is a great book.

This is my all time favorite book! The pictures are on one side and the back side is black. So no bleed through if using gel pens. It's genius, every coloring book should have that. Another great plus is that every picture is duplicated. So if you did one and wonder if your color choices could have been better, or pencil would have been better than gel pen, you get another chance to color it! In the back there is an access code to use on-line for more free printable pictures. I haven't received them yet, but I'm excited to get them. This really is a great coloring book, and priced under $10 is another surprising bonus. So very happy with this purchase.

I love her coloring books. I currently own six of them. This book has lots of floral, forest and animal scenes to color! I use colored pencils and markers. The Copic alcohol markers don't show up on the black back pages. Includes two copies of each plus a downloadable PDF on Jade Summer's web site.I didn't realize I had to email her with the title and access number to receive a copy. I emailed her this morning so I'm not sure how long it takes.UPDATE: Received the PDF file in less than 24 hours.

This book is really lovely. The images are beautifully drawn, one per page, on an average weight paper - thicker than copy paper, thinner than cardstock. The back of each page is completely black, which is great for any coloring medium, and the paper has a bit of tooth to it, so it's not completely smooth - love that! You get two of each design AND a digital copy of the book so that you can print the designs over and over on any paper you prefer, and color in a variety of different ways. This is CLEARLY stated in the description, so I'm not sure why people who have purchased the book are surprised by this, or why they would reduce their review because of it. It's not quite fair to ding the author/illustrator because you did not read all of the details provided about the book. And just over seven bucks for a print and digital coloring book? You definitely cannot beat it! I definitely recommend this book, and I look forward to purchasing some of Jade's others.

I have colored several pages in this book, I am on about my 5th page, and WAAAYYYY too many leaves, and I mean WAAAAYY too many leaves !! This book is very boring !! If you enjoy coloring pages of leaves, strings of leaves, leaves on flowres, maybe a rabbit in a pot surrounded by leaves after leaves, or another picture with the same repeated flowers amongst the same shaped leaves, repeating on numerous of the 25 new designs this book contains (not 50; 25 different designs), Why Oh Why would I want to color the same pages of leaves over again included in the 25 duplicated pages at the end? I am struggling getting through the pictures the first time.), The same flowers and leaves ringing around the main picture. I am very disappointed. Be sure to stock up on green shades of crayons, colored pencils, or gel pens. Oh, also lots of bark and trees and branches. Load up on the browns, also. Boring when pages are filled with greens and browns. I agree with the reviewer who said drop the word "Magical" from the title, also "forest" is questionable, I would title this coloring book: "Gardens of the same strings of leaves, trees, the same flowers, and an occasional animal or picture thrown in." No creative designs or pictures at all. Not recommended, unless you love shades of green and brown and like to color the same strings of leaves over and over again. Nothing magical about this coloring book, at all !!

I am enjoying this coloring book. While I see nothing 'magical' about the themed artwork, I do like floral/nature drawings. Not intricately detailed, they leave plenty of room (for instance in the larger flower petals and leaves) for experimenting with shadowing. Strangely enough, I also like having 2 copies of the same drawings to further practice and experiment with different colors using various media... like gel pens, pencils, and/or markers. The paper is not the best, but does seem to take pen and pencil coloring very well. I do recommend placing a sheet or two of scratch paper behind the page you're coloring... just in case. I always keep a scrap piece of paper handy to get the pens started and/or to see what colors work together anyway.Frankly, I'm not too fond of her animals, but they are not the primary focus of the book.In fact, I liked this book so well, I ordered her Hidden Garden book also.

This little book is pretty awesome. My mother is a fairy fanatic and she loves to color adult coloring books. So when I found this magical forest book, I knew she would love it. It has tree designs and little hut pictures and other mandala like pictures. It's a really good quality coloring book for the price.

Confession time: I have loved Iliza Shlesinger's standup since I accidentally stumbled across it while binging Netflix. Since then, I have spent a slightly unhealthy amount of time watching her standup and shows. Because I live under a rock (clearly), I hadn't realized she had published a book, but the moment I did, I bought it. No regrets. Girl Logic is funny, witty, insightful, and just real, in the most terrifying and crazy sense of the word.In Girl Logic, Shlesinger attempts to make sense of the confusing, frustrating, and often contradictory life experience that is being female. From dating to looks to life pursuits, she covers it all. The book exhibits a lot of the snarky humor that Shlesinger is known for in her standup, but more than that, it calls on women to realize that it's okay to just be them. It's inspirational and thought-provoking about the things that matter most in life while still being wickedly funny.In some of the best parts of the book, Shlesinger shares her own anecdotes and life experiences, from struggling with being an outsider growing up, to trying to be happy with the way she looks, to finding a place as a female comic in a world of men. In Girl Logic, Shlesinger celebrates the things that make women, well, women—admitting that they can be confusing and be deterrents, at times, but they don't have to be.While Girl Logic is obviously geared towards women (duh, it's in the title), there's a lot that men can get out of it, too. In fact, a lot of the advice, while written from the perspective of a woman, is applicable to any gender. If you follow Iliza you know she has a lot to say. She’s obviously beyond hilarious but personally, I feel like a lot of that has to do with the level of her intelligence & the fact that she pays attention to others, the world around her & (obviously) interaction between men & women, women & women & all other relationships. This book is a bit of a self-help type of book for all women, all people out there & anyone who is willing to pay attention to relationships. It also shows how we can learn to understand one another. What makes this book special is that she does so with very little criticism of anyone. It’s brilliantly written, very funny & done with a level of intuition that seems to be nearly impossible to achieve when writing to & for people who you do not personally know. I found myself wanting to pick it up & read it as often as I could possibly find the time. I pre-ordered, so I had no time to read reviews or wait to see what people thought of it, I just assumed she would have some insight into how we all feel, believe & interact with one another. I’m happy to say that that is exactly the kind of book this is. Iliza is every bit as good a writer as I thought she would be. You can’t write to her level of comedy without being an excellent writer all around & she definitely nailed it! The last pages of the book contain some of the best writing I’ve ever read & sums everything up beautifully. Magnificently done!

This book is everything I had hoped for and more! Iliza did a really great job balancing humor and what she was trying to say. I have been a fan of hers for a while and was a bit hesitant on buying this because I wasn't sure how she would be able to make me laugh the same way her stand up comedy does. I was not disappointed at any point. For this being her first book, I am impressed. You can tell a lot of thought went into the book. It is not just joke after joke after joke it's Iliza being herself in a very real way talking about things with hints of humor as she went along. I hope she writes another book because this was genius. It is not just aimed at women it is something men can also read and get a laugh out of it. Great job Iliza!

Iliza is a well known hilarious, brilliant comedian who has several Netflix specials, a TV show and now a book. This book had me literally laughing out loud and tears streaming down my face. I can almost hear her voice speaking, doing a stand up in the pages of the book. She tackles many topics that so many people don't want to speak out loud about. I appreciate her taking the stand and being open and honest it is refreshing and as usual entertaining ☺️

I literally was laughing out loud at so many parts, that I was crying. Iliza is so wonderfully self deprecating while allowing us to feel the self respect and confidence she holds. I guess that’s her Girl Logic, paradoxical, witty, charming and smart! I find it touching that she speaks to younger girls too in a manner that, with all her absurdity and comedic views, she can be somewhat of a role model. Her style of writing is as if she’s talking right there in front of you! I thought this wouldn’t be my genre or for my age group (& being so evolved & spiritually aware), but I am thoroughly enjoying this gem! She’s a delight!!!

Iliza is truly one of the greats! You may not agree with everything about her but you can't deny that her comedy is pure freaking gold! Buy this book, read it, laugh, and be happy.Iliza, if you see this, know that you bring laughter into my heart and soul when the days are bad, good, and anything else in between. I remember when I was first introduced to your Netflix special, War Paint. I was home on leave visiting a good friend of mine after my first deployment. We laughed so hard! I recommend this for everyone who wants to improve their preaching. I am a seminarian and many of the points here (if not all) are valid in today's world of preaching. Prophetic in many ways and insightful in every page, so far. Easy read and flows smoothly through its argument.

A friend of mine recently shared a quote with me which I believe was said by Jimmy Breslin. According to Breslin, the reason Catholic priests cannot preach is because they have never rebelled. Priests are trained to respect authority, not rebel. Breslin, on the other hand has been somewhat of a rebel, as his writings sometimes show, so he may have a point, but it is also a gross overstatement since there are many wonderful Catholic homilists. That being said, there are also many people who are dissatisfied with the preaching in Catholic churches and it is not due to disagreeing with Catholic teaching. It is due to poor preparation. It would be wonderful if all Catholic homilists read at least some of Kenneth Untener's PREACHING BETTER, a solid book about preaching by a beloved and experienced Catholic leader. If rebelliousness makes for a good writer and preacher, then the person of Kenneth Untener would also prove his point.The late Bishop Kenneth Untener was loved by many because of his less than predictable approach to ministry. While he was criticized by some as being too liberal, his life was that of an effective follower of Christ. Everything he did was geared toward the people he served. He did not live in a bishop's house, preferring instead to live in rectories throughout his diocese. This enabled him to be part of the communities he shepherded and listen to the priests of his diocese. From what we know about Jesus Christ, he also traveled from place to place to be part of the community and always knew the needs of his leaders. Not a bad example to follow.If there is one work that could become part of Bishop Untener's legacy, it is PREACHING BETTER. The book is geared toward the Catholic homilist, whether the homilist is a priest, deacon, catechist, or lay preacher, but I am certain that people of other denominations can appreciate his tips and wisdom. The reason I say it is geared toward Catholic preaching is due to the fact that Untener stresses the importance of the homily to the entire liturgy, and acknowledges that some of the sloppy practices that have developed in some Catholic churches stem from a belief that a good homily is nice, but not essential since many Catholics would attend Mass for the Eucharist anyway. He sees a clear connection between Eucharist and preaching the Word. He also believes that preaching is a means by which the scriptures can still be living and vital today. He gives suggestions for self review but also encourages preachers to have people who will critique homilies. He acknowledges that many people in Catholic ministry can have hectic preaching schedules between Sunday Masses, daily Mass, weddings, funeral, and other occasions that require a homily, but does not believe that so many demands are an excuse for poor preaching.There are a number of wonderful homiletic books available, and many have been penned by experts in preaching and public speaking. For me, Untener's book does not have the expertise of some of the books that are available, but this is not a criticism since this volume has what many of these books lack. Untener's observations and hints seem to be based on his own ministry, his successes and his failures, and his desire to be an effective preacher.

I like the style of the book and there are many excellent suggestions, but it is definitely stuck on the idea that preachers should only be giving homilies, ie explaining the Scriptures, which we usually do, but why the denigration of "sermons"? Last Sunday I went back to teaching a bit more Catechism, explaining the Sunday obligation for Christians, and I was amazed at how many people were so appreciative. I think we need to do both.

I found this to be a wonderful resource for developing my preaching. Of all the required texts in our preaching and presiding course, this was by far the most resonant for me. I have been applying Untener's approach for several months now and can happily report that my preaching has improved dramatically.

As a candidate for ordination to the permanent diaconate, this book was the best by far of the required texts for my homiletics course. Easy to read and not boring, this book was filled with practical, useful and easy to understand suggestions for crafting meaningful homilies.

Easy read, nice interpretation of the subject, useful to anyone who has or will preach.

Quick and easy to read this Catholic book is great for a new or experienced preacher. The authors style is ironically, not preachy! He really does take you through, step by step, how to create great, short sermons.

Had to read this book for a Medical Sociology course. I thought the title was a bit odd, but when I started reading the story of this one family that the author follows -- I couldn't put it down. I wanted to know what happened to these people. Their story could be the story of ANY family. It is not a happy story, but it is necessary to show how some people struggle to get adequate health care. For those who have super health care plans and no problem paying their co-pays or have never had a problem finding a doctor -- this is a book you should read. Just like many people are one paycheck away from being homeless, that also means being one paycheck away from having health insurance. It shows how the US health care system has contributed to many disparities in health.

really enjoyed reading this book for class! it is eye opening and really shows us how much trouble the poor endure related to health care and it shows that it isnt as easy as we may think with their resources. also shows you how much money is spent fighting fires that could have been fought at much lower costs with preventative care - which they lack access to and education about! great book!

Abraham presents facts and statistics of poor African Americans through the story of four generations in a poor Chicago family as they go through life navigating the health care system. The story is presented from a very fact based point of view. It includes the trials of Mrs. Jackson, the grandmother; Tommy, the son; Jackie, the caretaker and Tommy's daughter; Robert Banes, Jackie's husband; and their three children.Abraham presents the trouble deciding which jobs to take and how it will affect the overall family income when many jobs don't provide insurance. Statistics are presented on lack of family education about programs available for programs that would have not added income or taken away assistance they were already receiving.This book took into account the physician's assigned to the case when the patient is admitted without a primary physician, multiple residents and having to explain issues multiple times. Residents and physicians do not always look at the overall picture but the latest issue. Even the lack of physicians discussing do not resuscitate orders with the family when Mrs. Jackson is close to death was brought to light.I would like to ask the author what happened after the grandmother died and Robert received his transplant. How did the loss of SSI change their status and the outcome of their healthcare and financial status? Overall I give this book a 4 (very good). I agree with the authors position and policies set forth to help the poor are not working and need some serious revamping. I only rate it a four because of the tediousness of the information make it a hard to get through. This is a great read for those who want to do public policy dealing with healthcare reform and anyone interested in the plight of the poor having to negotiate the current system.

This is a good book for all 'Obama Care Bashers' to read and be able to understand why America needs health care reform. We could save a lot of money if we could prevent problems rather than attempt to treat problems after it's too late.

Needed for school delivered on time

I had to read this book for a class I'm taking. I understand that this is a type of story that needs to be told to understand the problems with the poor and health care. My problem is that the writing is horrible. The author jumps from story to story. Characters were either over explained or mentioned then vanished.

This book is a good read, and really points out the inequities that there are in families acquiring much needed health care in the United States. I recommend this book! This book will make you mad about what happens to people and the struggles that they face when just trying to get health care for their families. It also shows how people with few resources can be creative in finding ways to get healthcare. This book is well written and informative.

The book was for my sister but I began reading some of it. I didn't finish but they book sounded interesting, The story is sad but true fro a lot of people.

A must read book... great for those who are into accounting. Clear explanations and is a easy reading. Try is... you won't regret it.

I am not an accountant, but this year was tasked with managing the money for a few family members who are now unable to manage their own money. In my quest to figure out how to do that the correct way, I found this book. It was a very helpful and easy to understand overview that showed me what I need to know now and where I should go next.

Was referred to this guide when I got Auditing for Dummies. Forensic accounting is a fascinating subject, almost like a mystery novel. Can't put it down. Subject seems to be well-covered and authors provide great detail. Too bad there are so many examples and case studies.
